Happy Thanksgiving!

We're in the middle of cooking a small feast: turkey, collards, brussel sprouts, yams, potato salad, stuffing, gravy, fresh cranberry sauce, and macaroni and cheese. It's going pretty smoothly. I'm cooking the greens for the first time, and already burnt them. Oops! (Just the turkey necks, though, and not the actual greens).
We cheated and bought a pie from Costco, lol.
Really like the system we've got, where Z is telling me how to make things and I can handle more of the work load. Not really looking forward to eating dinner, but am looking forward to not having to cook for a couple of days thanks to leftovers.
My stomach miraculously was able to handle 2 leafs of lettuce and several stalks of celery without me getting sick. I'm hoping I can eat salads again soon. The only change we made was subbing out regular milk for a2 milk for our tea. (I'm big on dairy, but not on milk).
In between cooking, I've been browsing @holiday_wishes. My budget's really tight, but I'm gathering up people to send out holiday cards to. I'm looking forward to writing them, but not looking forward to printing them. It means I'm finally going to have to learn to use our new color printer that I've been putting off for months.
That being said, if anyone wants a holiday card featuring a skeleton, based on the plant mistletoe, hit me up!
I posted my list over there, too. I've been blown away by the support and people offering to send me cards and add me as friends on DW. It's making me feel really hopeful again. It's also been a good exercise for me in self-worth, in standing up for how I'm treated, gratitude, and generosity.
