I'm from TX and I still think Bostonians are really friendly. Everyone's been so kind to me up here!
The guy said to not even put the turkey in the fridge, but leave it in out in the sink with some warm water overnight until Thursday (in the bag it came in). This was good news, because I'm not sure we have room in our fridge for it yet...and our apartment is pretty cold, so it should be safe.
Since he actually worked in the meat department, hopefully he knows what he's talking about, lol!
